The Coming of the World Teacher
The Bhagavad Gita, Book IV, Sutra 7,8.
All the worlds major religions expect the Return of the World Teacher *Known to Christians as the Christ, to Buddhists as the Lord Maitreya, to Muslims as the Imam Madhi, to Jews as the Messiah, and to Hindus as the Lord Krishna. Each religion uses the name of its own expected one. Many use these names as the symbol for the return of pure Spiritual Love and Light to the minds and hearts of all. The word "Christ" (from the Greek Chrio) and "Messiah" (from the Hebrew Mashiahh) both mean "the anointed one": consecrated or set apart as holy.
Expected by generations the World Teacher comes again to us to bring stability in a world full of political, social and economic crises. Using the modern methodologies of mass media He will announce His return to an expectant world - but this does not mean we should sit idly by... His message is one of hope and action not sterility and inaction. Groups all over the world are preparing for this event and the Twelves group is one of these. Not belonging to any one particular faith He will bring about great change to all.
Since the Great Invocation was given out in April 1945, it has been translated into approximately 75 languages and dialects, and its distribution is now worldwide. It was released after the second world war as a tool for humanity to use to aid the Return of the World Teacher by creating the right conditions. The Great Invocation is essentially Christ's own invocation and its sound has gone forth to the entire world through the World Teachers enunciation of it and through its use by the Spiritual Hierarchy. Every sincere worker should use it regularly and with focused intent.
The Great Invocation
From the point of Light
within the Mind of God,
Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on earth.
From the point of Love
within the Heart of God,
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men
May Christ return to earth.*
From the center where
the Will of God is known,
Let purpose guide the little wills of men,
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which
we call the race of men,
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out,
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth

How to use the Great Invocation
"The above Invocation or Prayer does not belong to any person or group but to all Humanity. The beauty and the strength of this Invocation lies in its simplicity, and in its expression of certain central truths which all men, innately and normally, accept - the truth of the existence of a basic Intelligence to Whom we vaguely give the name of God; the truth that behind all outer seeming, the motivating power of the universe is Love; the truth that a great Individuality came to earth, called by Christians, the Christ, and embodied that Love so that we could understand the truth that both Love and Intelligence are effects of what is called the Will of God; and finally the self-evident truth that only through humanity itself can the Divine Plan work out." Alice A. Bailey
Annie Besant the great Theosophist and social reformer wrote of H.P.Blavatsky's understanding of the World Teacher in 1912:
“It may interest members to recall the fact that Mme. H.P. Blavatsky, one of the founders of the T.S., regarded it as the mission of the T.S. to prepare the world for the coming of the next great Teacher, though she put that event perhaps half a century later than I do. Which of us is right as to date, only time can show. I do not say that she was necessarily right in making this its mission, but as she proclaimed this view in the supposedly ‘uncolored’ days, under ‘the old régime,’ the repetition of the statement by myself does not imply any change of policy. She wrote: ‘The next impulse will find a numerous and united body of people ready to welcome the new torch-bearer of Truth. He will find the minds of men prepared for his message, a language ready for him in which to clothe the new truths he brings, an organization awaiting his arrival, which will remove the merely mechanical, material obstacles and difficulties from his path.’
